Ruddersafe types 2, 3, and 4
| Availability: | In stock |
The Ruddersafe is available in different versions, depending on the size of your boat. The Ruddersafe makes it much easier for you to stay on course, but also to maintain good manoeuvrability at low speeds. The drive from the outboard motor is concentrated and better directed, which has a favourable effect on the steering characteristics of your boat. Simply put: manoeuvring in the harbour or when sailing at low speeds becomes a lot easier!
In addition, the Ruddersafe contributes to more favourable fuel consumption. At high speeds, the Ruddersafe will automatically flip up, only to drop back behind the propeller at lower speeds. This rudder is for outboard motors and stern drives (Z-drive). Check the details to see which type is right for you, and order your own Ruddersafe today. It is useful to know that types 2 and 3 are very similar. The difference is the size of the blades. If you choose a type 2, the advantage of a type 3 is that you get even more rudder action. There is no difference in terms of installation. (The Ruddersafe installation manual can be found at the bottom of the page and can be downloaded). Sometimes a type 3 is therefore a better choice.
