An anode provides extra protection against corrosion. The anode will corrode sooner, thereby protecting the engine. All Yamaha anodes are made of a zinc and aluminium alloy and are therefore suitable for all types of water. We recommend assessing whether the anode needs to be replaced based on a visual inspection. The external anode at the tailpiece and/or bracket is easy to replace, but the internal anode requires specialist knowledge.
This anode is suitable for the following engines:
2-stroke: 150F, 175D, 175F, 200A, 200C, 200F, 200G, 225D
4-stroke: F150A, F150B, F150D (F150LB/F150XB), F150F, F150G (F150LCA/F150XCA), F175A, F175C, F200B, F200F, F200G
