Clean fuel is essential for a smooth-running engine. The petrol filter ensures that the fuel injected into your engine for combustion is as clean as possible. When refuelling and due to accumulation in your tank, dirt particles are released which are collected by the fuel filter. You should therefore replace the filter every year or every 100 hours. Failure to replace it in good time can result in loss of power, poor starting characteristics and even damage to your injection or combustion system.
