Screws / Propellers
Aluminium boat propellers are generally used. Often, there is a desire to fit a stainless steel propeller to an outboard motor with a power output of over 40 hp. When it comes to pure speed and fuel consumption, it makes more sense to opt for stainless steel, but these are quite expensive to purchase. Aluminium is actually always sufficient, but should a boat propeller deliver maximum performance? Then stainless steel is the best choice. Stainless steel has the property of achieving higher efficiency than aluminium. However, we are convinced that this is only minimal in normal use. A plastic propeller is only suitable for smaller outboard motors such as 2 or 2.5 hp.
