A fuel tank for an outboard motor is essential if you want to drive a little longer. Such a fuel tank for your outboard motor can be easily connected to most motors, allowing you to switch from the internal tank to the separate fuel tank on the motor.
Fuel hoses
For a good fuel supply to the motor, it is important to choose the right fuel hose. Fuel hoses are rubber hoses that are resistant to diesel, oil and petrol. For a good fuel supply to an outboard motor, it is best to use a ready-made hose with a pump ball. With this pump ball/bellows/squeeze ball, the petrol can be pumped to the engine before starting.
FUEL CONNECTOR
A fuel connector, also known as a fuel coupling or fuel coupling, is used to connect the outboard motor, the fuel hose and the petrol tank. We offer a suitable fuel connector for every brand of outboard motor, including Mercury, Honda, Mariner, Suzuki, Johnson, Evinrude and Yamaha.
Connecting an external tank to an outboard motor
To connect an external tank to your outboard motor, you will need several fuel connectors. First, you will need a male fuel connector, which you attach to the outboard motor. Then attach a female connector to the fuel hose to attach the hose to the outboard motor. This creates a secure and stable connection between the outboard motor and the fuel hose. You also need fuel connectors to securely connect the fuel hose to the tank. Attach the male fuel connector to the fuel tank, then connect the fuel hose to the tank using a female fuel adapter.
Fuel adapters for Mercury, Yamaha, Johnson, Suzuki and more
Not every fuel connector fits every outboard motor. Therefore, make sure you buy a fuel connector that is suitable for your outboard motor. Pay close attention to which brand of outboard motor you need a connector for. Hebor Watersport sells fuel adapters for Mercury, Yamaha, Johnson, Suzuki and other outboard motors. Also make sure that your fuel hose has the correct diameter.
FUEL ADDITIVE
The fuel additive must be added to the fuel before storage or when your engine is not in use for a long period of time. It helps prevent corrosion and limescale deposits in your engine's fuel system, protects the fuel for up to a year, prevents oxidation of today's ethanol-blended fuel and lubricates the carburettor(s) or fuel injectors.
